In collaboration with Frank Saladis, PMP -- a renowned project management teacher and lecturer -- I have published a new book, entitled Project Leadership with a View on my Blurb site. You can preview and, of course, purchase it there. The book pairs project management aphorisms (truisms in the form of leadership guidance) with photos I have taken in Utah, Japan and many countries in Europe. I must personally thank Frank for the great idea and wonderful opportunity to put this together with him. We are looking forward already to volume II!
- From the introduction of the book:
Leadership is most often expressed through words such as “vision”, “character”, “motivation”, and “shared values”. Sometimes we must go beyond words and draw upon the world around us for inspiration and innovation. Leaders maintain an awareness of their surroundings but they also go beyond the familiar or what is seen through ordinary eyes and look for new ways to take their organizations or their teams to new levels of performance. Project Leadership With a View provides the leader with a visual tour of the world around us and creates a connection between the wonders of nature, the accomplishments of humanity, and the will and aspirations of the leaders who wish to guide their teams effectively, renew the will to succeed, and to establish a greater sense of personal value within themselves and their teams.
